Good day, District 4!
Even during the recent eclipse, we remained in the Sunlight of the Spirit thanks to our wonderful Program! Proof again that we have a “design for living that really works.”
Since this is my first “blog” as your Alternate Chairperson I wish to express my deepest gratitude for allowing me the privilege to serve you, your Groups, and our District. It is humbling to follow in the footsteps of the many trusted servants that have kept the A.A. flame burning bright for us all here in Sarasota and Manatee counties over the years. I assure you of my commitment to our District. I am at your service to bring us all closer together in “brotherly harmonious action” as we continue to carry the A.A. message to the still-suffering alcoholic searching for an answer to their alcohol problem. April Updates…
- ANNOUNCEMENT…District 4 was well represented at the April Area Assembly this past weekend. There were informative Workshops, Committee Meetings and General A.A. information available to everyone who attended. If you haven’t attended an Assembly or if your Group hasn’t been represented at one yet perhaps you will consider attending the next one in Cape Coral, FL July 12-14. - HELP NEEDED!!! One of the responsibilities of the Alternate Chairperson is to coordinate an annual Carry the Message Event for the District. I am looking for ideas on what you/your Groups would like to do for the event. The door is wide open to your creative ideas on how we can do it this year. Please brainstorm ideas with your Group and let me know what you would like to do.
- REMINDER…District 4 will hold our monthly business meeting on Saturday, April 20th at Central Office of Sara Mana, Inc., 1748 Independence Blvd #G2, Sarasota, FL 34234 (park and enter through the back of the building.) - INVITATION…District 4 will be celebrating A.A.’s 89th birthday by hosting Founders Day Celebration – A Daily Reprieve…89 years and Counting on Saturday, June 8th at the Sarasota Community Church, 4041 Bahia Vista.
