District 4 is seeking qualified candidates to serve as a District 4 General Service representative on the Central Office of Sara-Mana (Central Office) Board of Directors.
- Term of Service: Two years.
- Eligibility Requirements: 3 years sobriety and have the time and energy to serve the District well.
- Background: Be familiar with both the Twelve Traditions and Twelve Concepts. Experience in A.A. Service is beneficial.
Purpose: The District 4 General Service member to the Central Office of Sara-Mana Board of Directors serves as the District 4 Representative to the Central Office bringing the General Service conscious and experience to bear on Central Office decisions and operations in the best interest of A.A. as a whole in our area.
Responsibilities: Attends Central Office Board meetings (must attend nine or more regular board meetings a year). Provides monthly written and oral reports on current and planned Central Office activity to the General Service body at the District 4 regular monthly business meeting.
Selection Process: Qualified A.A. members in District 4 who wish to be considered for this position should notify their DCM who will present candidate(s) to District 4 ACMs, DCMs, and Officers of the District at the District 4 monthly meeting for consideration and vote if warranted.
