Jan 5-7th Quarterly Preparations & Activities
We are busy making important progress on many fronts. Your help will make everything better.
Please spread the word — no experience or minimum sobriety time is required.
Our District 4 is hosting the Area 15 Quarterly, January 5-7 2024 at the Hyatt in Sarasota. Everyone is getting ready to welcome maybe 500 hundred or more of our fellow AA members from all 21 South Florida Districts. Come help District 4 – including the Literature Committee – shine!
- THE LITERATURE ACCESS TASK FORCE is in full swing – we just might be ready to go live with our beginnings at the Quarterly – come join the fun! Our mission = to review, select and organize significant, helpful AA Literature Items for easy access in Home Groups, online and in person at our Central Office. We have Four Teams with Leaders responsible for an AA subject area: Recovery, Unity (Fellowship), Service and History. Respond here ASAP if you can join us in any way.
The plan is to increase Literature Access digitally on phones and computers as well as by print. We are blessed with knowhow – more hands on deck are needed ASAP – if you’re interested, please respond here.
- A “LITERATURE RESOURCE CENTER” (a “Display”) is being created which we hope to display for the first time at the Quarterly: We need your help with ideas, shopping, assembling, staffing during the Quarterly, etc. Exciting design initiatives are underway that we hope will grab, interest and inform.
- The AREA 15 LITERATURE WORKSHOP is being presented by District 4 Literature Committee on Saturday 1/5, 9-10am. We need you there — even if you show up to show your support! The Topic is _AA Literature: WHY, WHAT & WHERE_. Respond here if you might be willing to participate – no experience required!
Finally, you can HELP the District 4 Quarterly Committee by participating in the Quarterly in many other ways. Respond here if you are willing to help in short shifts with staff Registration, be a Greeter, sell Banquet Tickets, etc. and I will direct you to the appropriate contact information. You can’t have fun if you don’t come out to play!
