January Assembly Poll - Alcoholics Anonymous District 4 General Service

Help decide the format for our January 2021 Area 15 Assembly

Cary W., our Area 15 Chair, has requested we immediately poll the fellowship regarding the preferred format for our January Assembly to be held in Sarasota, Fl. We have two choices, a) Fully Virtually Assembly using our October format; b) a Hybrid Virtual Assembly.

The attached memo (in the PW protected District 4 Documents page) from Cary details the costs of conducting a Hybrid Virtual Assembly. Sharon K. Has created a spreadsheet summarizing the financial implications.

If we opt for a Fully Virtual Assembly we must pay the hotel a cancellation fee of $31,000.

If we opt for a Hybrid Virtual Assembly, Area 15 and the Districts may incur a cost of $49,000.

District 4 must decide whether it prefers a Virtual Assembly or a Hybrid Virtual Assembly. The decision is both financial and spiritual.
